** Formulary is Ranked #1 Top New Medical App on Google Play! **Learning the names, mechanisms, indications of drugs is a daunting task for healthcare students, qualified doctors and nurses. Books and apps for the BNF and other comprehensive drug references are important, but bulky and overwhelming.
That's why we created Formulary: a handy little learning tool that delivers the information for the most commonly prescribed or over-the-counter medication in a concise format. Each drug has the following information:
- Generic name- Brand name(s)- Class- System- Summary- Mechanism of action- Indications- Contraindications and cautions- Side effects- Special considerations (pregnancy, breastfeeding, hepatic or renal impairment)- Interactions- Other
Finding drugs within the app is easy, simply tap the search icon and begin typing either the generic name, brand name or it's indications. Drugs are also ordered alphabetically and by systems. Save drugs commonly seen on your ward or current rotation by tapping the 'favourite' icon.
To make the most out of Formulary, use our notes feature to type of quite points about each drug!
Formulary currently contains 50+ drugs. More drugs are added over-the-air (no need to update your app constantly!)
We will continue to add more drugs as often as possible. Please email us at [email protected] with suggestions, feedback and if you have found any mistakes!
Disclaimer:
We have put a lot of effort in ensuring the information in Formulary is as accurate as possible and have only used reliable resources including the British National Formulary (BNF), Patient.co.uk and pharmacology textbooks.
You should use this app for learning and revision purposes: not to make clinical decisions.
